Local author Ann Campbell entertained a crowd of children (and their stuffed animals) at the Library with her first book, Justa Bear, a tale of her father's childhood Teddy Bear.
The evening concluded with a fingerplay, a snack and another story of stuffed animals read by yours truly.
Everyone also took some time to check out the Library's display of stuffed animals. All the toys in the display belong to Library staff. The toys will be displayed in the Library for the rest of the Festival.
Arts Without Borders and Lloydminster Public Library would like to thank Ann Campbell for sharing her book with us.
We are thrilled to announce that the Arts Without Borders Festival Society will be presenting two new awards at the Festival Showcase on June 9, 2011-- the Anne Townsend Award for Promotion of the Arts and the Mayor's Award for Sustained Support of the Arts.
Nominations are now being accepted for these awards as well as the Gwen Mottram Arts Volunteer Award and the Arts Without Borders Arts Bursaries.

Here we are, almost in the new year and preparing for the 2011 Festival and you know what that means... a new look.
That's right, Michele wants to play with the website.
The Arts Without Borders website is somewhat of a sandbox for me, I try out all sorts of different components and modules here as well as different looks. Some of my experimentation becomes a part of the site and some goes into the file marked "I'll never try that again!" Some things get used on other sites.
In addition to a new look, I'm trying out different modules that will add a multimedia experience to the site.
Hey, some people play Farmville in their spare time, I play with websites.
