The Sask Alta Radio Club will be doing their annual Field Day operation at the Lakeland College football field on the east end of the college grounds, starting at 9AM 28 June 2014.  Continuous operation from noon until noon Sunday June 29.  There will be a couple of motor homes, an army tent, the college Popemobile (an ex-DoT mobile control tower and an ex-British Army Land Rover owned by Adam VE6WMR.  Several amateur radio stations will be operating for 24 hours independent of the commercial power grid with temporary antennas.

Coming into Vermilion from the south, turn left at College Drive (47 Ave) just before the underpass and go west.  You will see us on your left in the open area just before you get to the main college grounds.  All visitors are welcome.  We'd love to show you how we do things.  The Land Rover is almost one of a kind in this country and well worth a look.  Adam has it almost completely restored.

Bring the kids along and let them have a chance to talk to someone in the US or Canada by radio.
